This recipe is easily the best pulled pork I've had. I used a pork butt for a little more juice than a pork shoulder, but I guess you could use a shoulder if you were worried about "fat". I recommend this recipe if you are thinking about pulling pork.

One note is to watch it as it gets close to the end as I found it was done 20-30 minutes before I expected. The outside was a deep brown and crispy -- not sure how it would have been if I finished the time as it was perfect when I took it out of the oven early.

I think that this is a very simple recipe to make with outstanding taste. I used a Sam Adams Octoberfest beer as that was what I had. My neighbor came over and asked what the great smell was coming out of my house. It was really good and just a great taste.

Easy to make, I usually double the recipe or triple. I buy two 10lb butts and roast them in a large pan. I let it braise until the bone is very loose or around 175 internal temp.

I have prepared this twice for family and friends and have received great feedback. This pulled pork is the best that I have ever had.

I have prepared this recipe 3 times and everyone has absolutely loved it! And the best part is how simple it is. I do agree with others and after I made it the first time I reduced the salt by half and now it is perfect! Great for barbecues and large get togethers!

I didn't have beer on hand, so I used 1 1/2 cups broth. It turned out REALLY well!

I cannot eat smoked meats (as it triggers my migraines so this was a WONDERFUL alternative for me!
By no means does this imply that it wasn't true BBQ pulled Prok - it was in fact one of the most tender pulled pork meals my family and inlaws have ever eaten !!
    Highly Reccommend !!!

This was the best pulled pork recipe I have ever eaten! Yesterday was the third time I made this recipe and it was just as delicious as the first time! I used kosher salt instead of table salt and it came out perfect. I served this at my husband's superbowl party and it was a big hit. Everyone wanted the recipe. This is the most tender, delicious, and EASY recipe. You won't be dissapointed.
