I made this recipe today and it was ok. I think it needs twice the berries and 1 cup of brown sugar in the crumble. It also needs a little more sweetness on the berries, then the recipe may improve.

I am a non baker, however, this was easy and the result was wonderful. I made it for a family cookout and everyone loved it. Thanks Dave.

I made this dish for some dinner guests, and they loved it. I substituted 2 16 ounce bags of "mixed berries", and it was fanstastic!

I thought the ingredients in this recipe looked so good, but when it comes together it seems to be missing something. It was very, very tart; I think 1/2 lemon juiced is way too much lemon juice. Probably doubling the berries would be a good idea; wish I had read the reviews prior to trying it. I think cobblers should be sweet and this one just isn't sweet enough for me. I will try it again when blueberries are back in season as I really want this one to work since it's such an easy recipe.

I baked this last week to take to a meeting. Made it in individual serving dishes for convenience in serving. Because frozen blueberries were considerably less expensive than fresh, I used frozen. I also added some frozen peach slices. I mixed the topping in my food processor, which also ground the oats up a bit, making for a smoother topping. The dish was still warm when served with vanilla ice cream. It was a huge hit and I was asked for the recipe by several people. :

Too much "crumble", too little fruit.
Unfortunately, I made this before reading other reviews. After baking, blueberries were very dry.
