This was fabulous after I froze it and reheated it, and I loved the red pepper sauce. I was kind of underwhelmed when I first served it out of the oven, so I'm going to make it again and see what I think. Definietly a keeper though.

Our household is divided on this one, but it averages out to a four-star review.

I thought this was a nice spin on a traditional meatloaf. The meat was moist, and the red pepper sauce was what I'll call tactfully flavorful. I will try it with wine and roasted red peppers next time as others have suggested. Hopefully it will bring the taste up a few notches.

My husband loved the meat but didn't care for the sauce; he proceeded to bathe the meatloaf in ketchup. Our friends concurred that it was the best move. They're helpful like that.

We all agreed that this paired divinely with mashed potatoes. The entire pan was consumed.

I registered with foodnetwork.com just so I could rate this recipe. I'm a huge Barefoot Contessa fan and tried her recipe first -- but Dave's is MUCH better. Well played! The red pepper sauce is absolutely fantastic.

This was awesome meatloaf! As someone here had suggested, I added 1 tsp each of 1 tsp of ground oregano, sage and thyme to the meat. And instead of using 1 red bell pepper for the sauce, I used a jar of roasted red peppers because that's what I had. The meatloaf was very moist and flavorful. My daughter loved it (she's picky, and so did my husband, who gets nervous every time I cook with ground chicken or turkey instead of beef. This recipe is a keeper!

Very good and moist. You do realize that unless you use ground turkey or chicken breast meat, the fat content in dark meat turkey is even higher that using a lean ground beef. Don't think you are cutting fat calories by using this turkey...I did use half turkey and half turkey breast..next time I will try all turkey breast...the sauce is divine.

I've made this meatloaf numerous times and it always delicious! I love the Red Pepper Sauce. I use it on chicken and fish too. Also I make meatloaf sliders by using small loaf pans and serve it with a arugula mayo. I've gotten so many compliments everytime I make this for a party.

I have made a lot of meat loaf recipes over the years. Lately I have been making ones with turkey rather than red meat. I thought Giada's with sundried tomatoes from this site was my favorite until I tried this! My husband much preferred this one because it wasn't as dry as Giada's. I did add a few seasonings that Giada's had. Either way it would be equally as good. I added 1 tsp of ground oregano, sage and thyme. I also chose to roast the vegetables before blending with the water for the topping. You will love this moist and flavorful turkey loaf. I served it with Rachel Ray's spanish smashed potatoes that had Kale and manchango cheese. Any mashed potatoes would be great! Bubby know's her stuff, thanks Dave!

I have to say! I've been making Meatloaf for many years. Many different recipes, but, this is the best yet!!! It was so.. juicey and flavorful. I think that the sauce over the top was the ticket. It was absorbed throughout the whole Meatloaf and just BURST with flavor. I changed 2 things, though. I used roasted red peppers in olive oil, and I used panko bread crumbs. Otherwise everything was exact to the recipe, Thanks for sharing, Dave

This was the best meatloaf ever. It was one of the few times my family has had meatloaf and everyone loved it and wanted more. We followed the recipe for the most part then added in some more seasonings to the meat and some jerk seasoning to the sauce to give it a little more Pizazz! We ate it along with some garlic cheesy mashed potatoes which really brought it all together.. The sauce definitely made the dish!! Make sure you do add your own touches to the recipe if your scared about it being lack luster because it definitely put the dish over the top for us!!
