From the first time we saw Bubby's Meatloaf featured on Good Deal with Dave Lieberman, we have always been a fan of this recipe. However, after reading several reviews, we decided to take a different twist on this recipe. For the meatloaf, we used 1 pound ground turkey breast, 1 pound ground turkey thigh, couple of dashes of worcestershire sauce, 6 ounces of tomato paste followed by the other recommended ingredients in the recipe.
For the sauce, we added 1 anaheim pepper, 2 more garlic cloves, 3 more ounces of tomato paste. We substituted 1 cup red wine for 1 cup water, we also added tomato juice.
This meatloaf is tender, juicy and tasty! A great base recipe with the ability to take a few liberties.

My mom used to make great meatloaf when I was a kid, but it just doesn't seem very healthy today. This recipe provided a hearty meal for my family using a healthier alternative to hamburger. Also, cooking it in a baking dish allowed the fat to drain away from the meatloaf, so the final product was very lean. The red pepper sauce added extra zing, although I might have gone a little lighter on the tomato paste as it left a slight aftertaste.

I didn't have a red bell pepper, so I used about a cup of roasted red peppers in a jar. Otherwise I stuck with the recipe as written. Hubbie said he'd love to eat it a couple of times a month.

This was my first time making meatloaf; and it was quick, easy, and delicious! I made a couple quick changes, substituting Heinz's Chili Sauce for the tomato sauce (for both the loaf and the sauce, and I also substituted several peppadew peppers for the red peppers. Can't wait to get home tonight for the leftovers!

I have made this several times to rave reviews. My husband absolutely adores it! The only things I changed were to used roasted red peppers from a jar because that's all I had, and Italian style breadcrumbs. I, too, like to double the sauce as it's the best part. Make this! You won't be sorry.

Wow. I loved it! Nothing "gourmet" about it, but it was just like the wonderful meatloaf my mom used to make. I wish I'd thought to make mashed potatoes---next time! Re: bland---maybe. If you're looking for innovation, go elsewhere. But this is a really good basic meatloaf. Did not miss the beef! I echo another reviewer's comment---the sauce is very necessary. Do not skip it!
I WILL make it again and again and again....

This is the only meatloaf recipe I use anymore. I have 4 hungry boys who request it often. The sauce is absolutely delish and makes the dish. My guys literally lick their plates clean!

This recipe is very delicious. I tried it both with bread crumbs and ritz cracker and I discovered that the ritz cracker makes it even more delicious. It's a very easy, quick, and economical meal that any family will enjoy on any day.
