This recipe is fabulous! It is both sweet and savory. I added a bit of fresh ginger and some cinnamon. You must try this!!

I made this soup for the first time for 45 people! It was a wonderful success and everybody wanted the recipe. With an immersion blender it is very easy. BTW - you don't need to add sugar!

This soup is so easy and it tastes awesome. I added a sprig of thyme in with the rosemary, and used shallots instead of onions, and it turned out great. The pears kind of give it a grainy effect, but it was still really good. I made it for a whole soccer team and both parents and players loved it!

I made this as a starter for thanksgiving to serve three people; I only had two burners and no oven so it was a challenge but this soup was so easy and so wonderful, it was as if i had slaved away!

I am not sure if it was the sweetness of the particular pears I used but this soup dissapointed me. The flavor of the squash was dumbed down too much by the sugar of the pears and the flavor of the onions. I definitely won't make this again.

I made this and served as a starter for those that were hungry and wanted something before the Thanksgiving dinner. It was a huge hit! It is easy to make and delicious. I love a good squash soup that is easy to make and not loaded with fats!

really good for very little effort! I roasted the squash first then added it to the already cooked pears.

This recipe is easy, elegant, and delicious. I didn't have any chicken stock on hand so I used beef stock. The soup really didn't need the cream (so you can cut a few calories by omitting it, but I did add a bit of half & half just because.
