I am 9 months pregnant, have a 2 yr old, and a full time job. I was able to come home from work and make this recipe from ingredients in my fridge and freezer. My family loved it, and it tasted like I had spent half the day making it. That's what I call a good recipe. More like this please food network!

This has become one of my favorite soups becuase it's so fresh-tasting and easy to make! Definitely serve it with the toasted bread and don't forget the sea salt in the olive oil. I always keep some of this in my freezer for dinner in a pinch. Thank you!

The sour cream takes this soup to its potential. It gives just the right punch to the simple pea and onion mixture. I cut back on the butter, using only one tablespoon and it was fine.

This is the first vegetarian soup I've made, and it was delicious. An excellent choice on a chilly night. Thanks Dave!

After reading some of the other reviews for this recipe, I realized the general sentiment was that this soup was bland but passable as written. So, after following the original recipe (after the blending step, I added a generous amount of finely chopped carrots and cooked, crumbled bacon, and simmered the soup until the carrots were tender. This made a pretty good soup. I will probably make this again, although I must say there are better soup recipes out there. The saving grace of this one is that it is quite easy in that it requires minimal chopping.

This wasn't bad, but if I never had it again, I would be perfectly fine with that.

I love this recipe even though I do not like peas very much. The bread is a must along with cracked pepper. This is a great way to get kids to eat their veggies!

My friend and I watched this show, and I made this soup with my 2 year old pulling on me the whole time in about 15 minutes. It doesn't take any effort, and it's absolutely great! She and I both loved it.

I tried this one weekend and added Sweet Potato, summer and zuchini squash, carrot and peas, it was great!
