Very good and very easy!! ... as noted by an earlier reviewer, keep an eye on the almonds - 10 to 15 minutes in a 400 degree oven is way too long! I usually toast them in a skillet on the stove - much easier to control. I've used pecans very successfully too. My choice of chocolate was Ghiardelli bittersweet - very good!

I really like having something to bake from so few ingredients! I also so like that there are some healthy options such as the orange zest and cranberries to go with the sweet chocolate.

I have made these for get togethers on various occasions and everybody loved them! I used walnuts instead of almonds and used orange/ lemon zest instead of tangerine and they taste great! I love the citrus and chocolate combination. Dont feel bad about eating these chocolate bars at all :

I've been holding onto this recipe since I saw it on Dave's show in February. I finally made it for a big family dinner and I'm so glad I did! Its incredibly easy (I made two batches, one with milk chocolate and one with dark chocolate. It tastes AMAZING!! Its so delicious and the cranberries and tangerine zest make it really refreshing and not heavy at all. It was a big hit and I'll definitely be making it again for parties and dinners. (hint: I was able to make it for even less money by buying my ingredients in the bulk section at the market.

GGGGRRRREEAATT RECIPE!
First time I made this though, I messed up and took the chocolate off of the heat before adding the other ingredients. Chocolate "seized" and I ended up with a huge ball of chocolate that ended up in the trash. Tried it last night, kept it on the heat, PERFECT. Almonds definately toast faster than recommended....may try raisins, dried apricots, peppermint oil, pecans, walnuts, etc. next time. The "possibilities" are endless with this recipe!!!!

I made these chocolate bars for my daughter for Valentine's Day. They were awesome. They were so creamy and the tangerine flavor was the perfect complement to the chocolate and cranberries. I'm not going to wait until next Valentine's Day to make them again.
Nice job, Dave!

I made these bars for everyone I work with and they loved it. It was so easy to make. The tip about putting foil in the pan was great. Will make this again and again. Thanks

These chocolate bars are delicious!I could'nt find tangerines at the grocery store so I substituted orange zest instead.I love the crunchy nuts with the chewy tart cranberries and the little bit of the citrus in the backround. If you take these to any get together, they will be gone in a flash!
