This recipe has been a HUGE hit across the board with my family and friends for many years now. It's silky, light texture is well rounded and extremely delicious.

This is simply the best egg nog recipe. I've been using it the last 4 years, and it's amazing!

Well, I'm sorry to ruin the party but this recipe was so not good. And I was so dissapointed. I made it the day before Christmas morning and I'm glad I did, because I had to quickly run out and buy some store bought. I don't know what I did wrong but it was so thick I could hardly pour it and it didn't look very appealing. The taste wasn't horrible, but the texture was.

I am so glad to have found a egg nog recipe without raw eggs. As a transplant patient, I am unable to drink traditional egg nog and the store bought stuff is too sweet. I don't plan to use the alcohol either because of my meds, I'll add more milk if needed to make it the right consistency. Looks delicious!

I've never had spiked eggnog and wanted to see if I liked it. I've never drank brandy and prefer regular rum to spiced but figured a recipe with rum would have a better chance of me liking it than other recipes. I still made it fully expecting not to like it, and for no one else to like it either, but it was delicious! I used a good brandy and generic spiced rum, I loved it and so did the others! I'm not even going to try any other recipe!

I made a quarter of the recipe first to see if we would like it. (This required mooshing an egg yolk to come up with the 1 1/4 yolks needed for the smaller quantity. We didn't need to make a reduced portion because this is a YUMMY drink!!!

The basic ingredient combination also works well using other types of alcohol.
To make use of other items stocked in our bar, we also tried a guavaberry rum in place of the spiced rum, and a combination of Southern Comfort and Harvey's Bristol Cream sherry instead of the brandy. It was "Mmmm good!"

We served this eggnog at our holiday party, and it was gone in no time! This was the best eggnog I have ever tasted. We used a good quality high end bourbon, it was smooth with a nice kick!

I realy enjoyed this Egg Nog. I have freinds and family members that wouldn't drink traditional Egg Nog because of the raw eggs. Since this is cooked they jumped right in.
