I love this dish- especially because you can get rotisserie chicken at the grocery store which is half the work! It's delicious and refreshing!

Good flavors, but I needed to add some chicken broth. It didn't have much liquid.

The flavor is fantastic. I used chicken broth instead of water. But... it was no stew. I made it a stew by thickening the broth. Then it was a great stew

I made this recipe for my husband tonight, and he loved it! I just added a few tweaks. I NEVER use water in a soup base, I never find it has enough base. I always use the broth of the meat I am using (In this recipe I used Chicken. I also cooked the onions the later half of searing the chicken in a skillet with Olive Oil. I then de-glazed the pan with white wine and added that to the stock pot to cook. I also added about 6 or 8 cloves of garlic, just because we are garlic lovers! I really enjoyed this recipe, but with a few tweaks made it extra tasty!

This makes a great basic recipe for a hearty soup (it's not quite a stew. I tweaked it a bit but overall kept the main instructions of the recipe. I browned the chicken first before adding the liquid and instead of all water, I put in a cup of chicken broth first. I didn't have fresh thyme so I used 1 full tsp. of dried thyme leaves instead and it worked fine. Kosher salt is a key ingredient; I used 1 tsp. of that as well. Next time, I will try adding different vegetables into the mix but overall, a great start!

I make this on super cold days...it is soooo flavorful! Use fresh thyme, if you substitute for flaked you will not get the same effect...very easy but a little time consuming. You can easily prep ahead of time.

Overall, a great recipe that I will use again soon. I added about a can of chicken broth in addition to the water. I also added curry powder for extra flavor and spice, as well as zuchini (last 10 min. Had to use dried thyme, and it worked fine. If you can wait, I recommend cooking a day ahead and eating the next day - the flavors are more developed.

I was disappointed with this recipe. I made it like the directions said but it had a very thin broth to it with not much flavor. I added chicken broth and more seasonings but it was still missing something. My family didn't care for it at all and I won't make it again.

excellent simplicity... My grandson said, and I quote..."Me lub dis stuff."
This recipe keeps so well that I actually make enough to freeze some. I added more garlic, some truffle chips and celery for body.
My highest recommendation.
