My church participates in a Daniel Fast in January every year and every year this hummus dip is a staple in our vegan diet. We enjoy it with whole wheat matzo or grilled fresh veggies. I have shared this recipe with coworkers and served it at my Christmas gathering. Everyone loves it and I will no longer have to buy all that tahini that I can't finish and gets wasted in the back of the fridge! Thanks, Dave!

YUM! I almost ate the whole batch by myself. I'm such a hummus freak and this recipe is absolutely perfect! It's fresh and different and it's so easy to play with the ingredients to make it perfect for your taste. This is now my go-to hummus recipe! MMMMM!!!

I keep craving hummus, so I thought it was time I tried making my own. I was curious about this recipe 'cause it doesn't use tahini, which I cannot find in my town. It was delicious! However, I advise you to let it sit before serving--the flavors really came alive after a night in the fridge. I used the leftovers in the Hummus and Grilled Veggies Wrap--what a dynamite combo!

I was skeptical, without using tahini. I had all ingredints on hand, I added a bit more sesame oil, and it is really good!

Dave's recipe for hummus is not only delicious, yet incorporates everyday ingredients that can be found right in one's pantry. Every recipe that I had previously researched, more often than not, incorporated sesame tahini in the recipe. I'm not one to have sesame tahini laying around the house, so Dave's substitute with sesame oil, was a great way for me to utilize what was already in my pantry, rather than going out and buying an extra, as well as expensive, ingredient. Not only is this recipe extremely simple to put together, but it will make you the star of any dinner party you attend. The real "kicker" in this recipe that will have guests licking their lips all the way to a pleasant food coma, would without a doubt be the cumin. It is a pleasant surprise which makes this hummus unique and flavorful.

Delicious. Simple as that. It has such a great flavor, yet no ingredient is overpowering. They all blend together well and compliment each other. Love it.
