    I had to do this recipe with a slow cooker because I needed to head out for a couple hours. It worked out pretty well after the long wait! I did mine without the greens. Next time I think that I'll use a little less wine, but overall the taste was quite different to what I was used to. Pretty good, and pretty easy!

    I've used this recipe countless times and every single time I make it, it just gets better. Its an easy recipe that does take a little bit of personal tweaking to get it the way you and your family may prefer, but its easy to do!!!!!!

    I made this last night for the first time...the only change I made was I added 2 tbsp cornstarch to make it a little thicker

    Dave's stew is perfect for the snowy winter weather. I would bundle the rosemary in a cheesecloth next time, though, just so you're not eating the sprigs, but you've still got the flavor.

    This is not your typical boring beef stew. Delicious and hearty. The wine really adds flavor to this dish. I served this with warmed garlic bread and butter.
