I have tried many shrimp dishes before, and this one is pretty much top of the list! Combination with mango salsa was great also. I did add cilantro as well as basil for the salsa.

This was such a CHEAP but great dish to make! Perfect for college students like myself learning how to cook. I loved the coconut rice with lime but I made it in a rice cooker instead of the stovetop.

My spiciness threshold is ridiculously high and I thought this recipe was perfectly spicy. My roommate was guzzling water after every bite, but I just sat back and marvelled at its amazingness. I thought the mango salsa was a perfect complement to the fire of the shrimp. I'm psyched that I now have a spicy hot shrimp dish that isn't fra diavolo.

I have not had the opportunity to see Dave's show yet. But once I read the reviews for this dish last night, I had to try it today.
I must say I was really impressed with this dish! It was delicious. I nearly did not make the rice to go with it, but I did and it complimented well with the shrimps. The rice in itself was very fragrant, but did not have too much taste to it. But added with the spiciness of the shrimp, it was a great addition.
The marinade was great. I wouldn't change a thing except maybe use a little less salt for next time. The shrimps were a little salty to my personal taste, but then I try to eat less salty stuff.
All in all, this tasted great and did seem like what I would order in a restaurant.
Plus the salsa helped cool your tongue. Great recipe!

This is soo good. Go get some shrimp and start cooking.

I did not drain enough of the maranade from the shrimp so they did not brown up. I would recommend really giving the shrimp a good shake before you put in pan. Also, do the 2 jalapeno's - it is so much better with two. I love this recipe

I would expect to eat this meal at a 5 star restaurant and it was very simple and easy to make-- not intimidating at all.
