    Made this cake for my husbands work place and it received rave reviews. I did add a bit more liquid to the frosting and left out the rum. Thanks for a good one.

    This so deliscious. Super good and easy to make. The glaze makes it even better. The recipe says "lightly grease"... needs alot of grease and maybe flour too. my cake stuck and the whole top of the cake was a complete mess becuse I lightly greased. Very good anyway and would make again.

    I confess I didn't give make this recipe as written, so take my review for what it is! I used 3 small sweet potatoes and forgot to measure them, so they may have added up to more than 1.5 cups, not sure! I used 1 cup dark brown sugar and 1/4 cup regular sugar, though I think next time I'll do without the regular sugar altogether. I also used 1/2 cup oil and 1/2 cup melted butter for extra flavor, and I omitted the raisins and nuts. I baked the cake in a tube pan since I have no bundt pan, and I used no glaze because it seemed great without it. It was FANTASTIC. I gave some to several friends and everyone loved it. I did underbake a little; make sure your tester comes out clean! Even underbaked it was really fantastic, just enough sweet potato flavor to satisfy but not "potatoey". I would definitely recommend trying this recipe!

    This cake is very moist and dilicious! My friend loves it and asked for the recipe. I gave her the one I print before and I print another one for myself. She likes to bake too like me.

    I just have one question? Can I omit the the raisin or nuts? One of my son has an allergy to nuts and the other one don't like raisins. Otherwise they loved it. Everybody here loved this cake.

    Is spiced rum just drinking rum or am I missing something? I absolutely love this recipe and am always looking for ways to use my favorite ingredient...sweet potatoes!!!
