    I LOVE DAVE'S "DOWN TO EARTH" RECIPES. HOWEVER, ALTHOUGH THIS WAS VERY GOOD,AS WELL AS EASY TO WHIP UP, IT REALLY DIDN'T HAVE ANY DISTINGUISHABLE SWEET POTATO TASTE TO IT. WE DID ENJOY IT, BUT IT'S BASICALLY JUST A SPICE CAKE, NOTHING MORE.

    This cake was outstanding.It was easy to make,and you dont't even need a electric mixer. The only thing I did different I used canned sweet potatoes.

    I made this as written w/out the glaze and it was so good I've been asked to make it again and again!! So far, I haven't tried a Dave L. recipe I haven't loved!!!

    I was interested in this cake because I had never had a sweet pot cake before. I was not disappointed! I did not have the spiced rum so I used a sugar glaze, but I think it would be really good with a cream cheese glaze. Since my husband and I don't need a whole cake around I passed it out to friends and family. They loved it too and have already asked when I was making it again. Thanks Dave!

    I left out the nuts and raisins just because I'm not very fond of them, let me tell you, I didn't miss them!! This cake is so moist and delicious it doesn't even need the glaze!! Try this! Everyone will go nuts over it!!

    Dave, this one of the best and easy recipe I prepared in a long time. I will use this often when my friends come over for dinner. "no if and bundts about it.
