This tarte was good, but not amazing. The pie dough didn't really adhere to the apples, and when i took the tarte out of the oven, cooled it completely, and inverted it, the apples still stuck to the pan. Also, it took about half the time to cook as the recipe claims. It tasted good and was well received, but it just wasn't traditional and was more doughy and less appley. On the plus side, the crust is the best pie dough I've ever tasted and I will only use that recipe from now on!

Dough came together quick, the apples soften easily, and my guests love it.

I wish we could get new episodes from Dave.

This is a great recipe. One evening before dinner my husband pulled out a delicious dessert wine that paired best with light, fruit based desserts. I had all ingredients on hand but not alot of time. I followed the recipe as directed but used a pillsbury pie crust that I had on hand instead of making homemade dough. It was quick, looked beautiful and tasted fantastic!

This recipe was a lot easier than I thought it was going to be. I only had to go out for the apples, everything else is in the decently stocked pantry or fridge. It turned out fantastic, nice slight sweetness to the crust as well as just enough sweetness and tartness to the apples. Not overpowering or rich, GREAT with vanilla ice cream.

I was so proud of myself at how beautiful and delicious this dessert was! It was a little rough to get the dough started but once I got it, everything was easy! Good one Dave!
