You can create up to five timers

Ingredients

  • 8 lemons
  • 1/2 cup superfine sugar, plus more to taste
  • 5 cups water
  • Ice cubes

Directions

Wash lemons under warm water. Roll them on the countertop with the palm of your hand to get them ready for juicing. Cut the lemons in half through their bellies. Juice lemons using either your hands or a juicer, reserving 2 lemon halves. Add the lemon juice to a pitcher. Add sugar and water and stir until sugar has completely dissolved. Add ice cubes and the reserved lemon halves.

    Nearly all of the lemonade recipes are identical (after all, it's just lemon juice, sugar and water, this one had the easiest to adjust quantities in my opinion.

    I put twice as much powdered sugar and even some granulated sugar in this recipe. I definitely measured the water, and you would think that only 5 cups of water to 8 lemons would yield a delicious flavor. It tasted lemony, but it was very bitter even with all the sugar. Maybe it was my lemons. I will try it again someday.
