I can't believe all the "Paula
Bashing" I'm reading this morning...I guess all the reviewers are really "experts"NOT! Paula put Food Network on the map...all they had before Paula was Emeril. We Paula Lovers have tried many of her recipes and have been pretty successful is pleasing lots of family members. If you don't care for Paula just change the channel and keep your comments to yourself.Paula makes me smile everytime I watch one of her shows--how many shows to that for you???

The batter is fabulous on anything sweet, and the deep fried cupcakes are fun for something different. Right up there with the Texas State Fair. As far as the person who feels Paula was rude, I have to feel sorry for someone who has so much time on their hands that they watch Paula, even when they hate her recipes. For those of us that love Paula, and love her recipes, please keep your non-recipe hateful comments to yourself. We do love you Paula, and most of us understand ya'll were joking around.

Glad that it is not actually Paula's recipe I'm rating. The cupcakes are good, but nothing special. To the person who said "she doesn't have the ability to speak good it proper English" if you really knew how to speak WELL, then you would realize you yourself sound like an idiot.

This recipe was very disappointing. I was willing to make it because it was only going to make 12 cupcakes and I thought that it was misleading. I ended up making 36 cupcakes, and ended up throwing all of them away. The cupcake was very bland and involved way too much work and expense. The truffle filling was wonderful but tasted better on the strawberries in my fridge that they did in the cupcake. Tariq said that these cupcakes were "Everything you loved about everything you loved about everything you loved." Not true.

I JUST WATCHED THIS SEGMENT AND WAS QUITE INTRIQUED WHEN I REVIEWED THE RECIPE. WHAT SHOW WAS VIRGINIA/RON WATCHING???

CERTAINLY NOT THE ONE I JUST VIEWED. PAULA WAS HER USUAL FRIENDLY SELF AND THE GUEST CHIEF WAS SMILING AND KISSED HER AT THE END OF THE SHOW. ACTUALLY, I THOUGHT THE GUEST CHEF WAS CHARMING.

    JUST BEING OBJECTIVE, YA'LL!

Before anyone says anything I AM rating the recipe, which was not really worth the trouble. There is nothing special about this, it's just your usual cake dough stuffed with regular old chocolate ganache and deep fried. Not worth the time or calories. It tastes okay but there are more interesting ways to get fat! As for Paula being rude, you obviously missed the fact that Paula invited this guy onto her national show to showcase his bakery in New Orleans and the types of desserts he makes. The fact that he had NO sense of humor, dull as dishwater delivery and a lackluster recipe to present was not Paula's fault. She gave the guy a chance, and let's be honest she has been doing this for 10 years and is a master. She gave him several openings and he stared at her clueless. When she showed him how to use the ice cream scoop the fill the muffin pan it flew right past him. Whenever she tried to engage him, he looked at her like he didn't know what she was saying! Anyone who wouldn't have chemistry with this woman obviously isn't trying!

Come on, people. You want cooking stick to cooking. If you don't like Paula use the buttons on your clicker. No one is paying you to either watch or cook. Let's use the comments for the cooking!

I made the cupcakes for friends and they loved them.
