I have to admit, it's a completely different Pho than what I am used to. Growing up, we always had the beef version (best tasting in my personal opinion. This one was different, but it also helped my picky husband see what can possibly go into Pho. Guess I'll just have the spend the hours like my mom showed me to get the same taste... LOL.

I looked up ramen and found this. I'm pretty sure the point is for it to be a short simple take on the dish. I can spend hours cooking all the vegetables and making my own spaghetti sauce or i can go buy a jar of the stuff. You still call it the same thing.

Wow...don't harsh this guys' mellow just because his soups authentic background is a "bit" diff....is it Pho....of course not...and I agree with most of the reviewers that it probably should be called something else, but may be worth a try...it may be good...just not traditional Pho.

I won't even think of trying this so called PHO, I have been to an authentic PHO restaurant, and have ate their PHO soup, you don't add egg plant, apple, and whatever else you may want to add, a true PHO takes several hours to prepare, and there are a lot steps, to get that beautiful broth. This recipe should be taken off the Food Network site.

I know everyone is insulted that this is called pho but I think its tasty for the people who have never heard of or tried pho. Im vietnamese myself and have had all diff types of pho including a vegetarian pho (which is very very tasty and I can honestly say that this is NOT a vegetable pho either. This was a failed attempt to replicate it but im sure its good to the people who have never had it before. I would suggest they go to a Pho restaurant and then compare.

I must admit...this is definitely not Pho. Just reading the ingredients and I already know it's not Pho. I'm not even vietnamese. You were trying to "american-ize" pho but I don't think it worked that well.

WHAT THE HECK IS THIS? Don't be calling it "PHO" if it's not.... "PHO" has been a Vietnamese tradition for generations so don't be stealing someone else soup's name just because you can't think of a name for yours.

This is not pho. Someone at Food Network needs to review these recipes before publishing.

Trong, this is not even VEGETARIAN PHO, look at what in it! they should change the name the dish to Noodle Soup or something, I'M INSULTED, being a Vietnamese almost 40yrs, and never heard of such thing! Fly Trap, your dish may be good, but it's not PHO and it's INSULTED...how would u like others to call you DEAD FLY or DEAD TRAP?
