This is an easy one to follow and make. I amped my version up with some medium heat peppers. That made it a winner at my churches chili cook-off last year. I am repeating it again this year and will see if I bring home the hardware!!

I followed this recipe accept for replacing the Turkey with Carne Asada. It did not even resemble chili in taste. I thought it tasted like a bad red sauce.

I really like this chili...I do not like the "5 alarm" type, way too hot, so this was just what I was looking for. I did use diced tomatoes and added a little more chili powder along with a bit of hot sauce. My husband really loved it too...we served it with corn muffins. Good food on a cold winter night here in the Chicago area!!

i had a good turnout with this. we found that the stewed tomatoes were large pieces. next time i would use a diced tomato or something smaller. i used extra chili powder. For party of 35 i doubled the recipe and had lots extra!!!

I made this with a few different items. I used 1 pound of hamburger and 1 pound of hot beef sausage. Did not use any tomato juice and cooked it for about half the time and it turned out perfect. I like mine kinda spicy so I added a little more cayenne. It snowed the day after I made it. Was great comfort food.

this chili is the best recipe
i have tried many chili recipes
i made it more heart smart
    i used all turkey
    then i used fresh tomatoes
one comment said not juicy enough
i went ahead and used more tomato juice
i think it would be great either way
and probably would be great w/all beef also
i bet it would be great w/buffalo too
    anyway we all loved it
it's going in my recipe file

Found this to be average as far as taste and texture. Definitely needed more liquid if cooked for the time stated. Okay chili but won't make again have several other recipes that are much better.
