    It was a soggy mess. I cut the stock in half and was still very unhappy with it.

    I think 3 cups of stock would have worked better. 6 cups made the stuffing intensely wet and mushy.

    I made this recipe and agree with other ratings -be careful. I bought homemade stuffing cubes from the store and should have added way more than the recipe called for - the stuffing came out soggy. Also, instead of a carrot, I used double the celery - not a good idea. The stuffing tasted like celery only. I had to toss it and start again. The second time around I used the right amount of celery and 2 extra cups of bread and it came out great. Nothing fancy - just good basic stuffing.

    This recipe has excellent flavor. Instead of french bread, however, I used very well toasted Sandwich loaf--if you use sandwich loaf, expect to use almost twice as much bread to soak up all that broth, otherwise you'll have a soggy stuffing.
