I made this for my boyfriend and my kids and his nephew for a welcome home dinner!!!! It was so easy and so simple, very tasty meal. I will definately have this dinner more often. Thanks Robert for being very creative and very innovated in preparing this dish.

I will use a little less horseradish next time (and we like spicy, but this was absolutely a family favorite!! Exactly enough for four "hearty" eaters,,,but it is really important to let the wine reduce to half before adding stock.

Very good flavor. Only recipe I found that had horseradish in it. Yields more that 4 servings.

This was easy and tasty. I hadn't seen a strog. recipe with horseradish before and it sounded good so I gave this a try. Great flavor! I was a little disappointed that the sauce wasn't thicker, but that may just be a factor of not letting it reduce enough. Next time I will allow more time for simmering and reducing. I also think that pre-cubed stew beef would work fine and be easier than cutting up a 3-lb roast. One note: The recipe says it yields 4 servings, but each serving would be enormous! A 3-lb roast should easily feed 6-8 people.
