Oh Oh so good! it's not too sweet and it was easy to make. Will make again. It's nice to find interesting recipes for apples besides apple pies. Everyone must try this delicious candied apple

I did not like the cream cheese. It seemed a bit too far from a candy apple to me and more like a candy salad

It was a very sweet red apple with a soft center. It made the whole house smell good, I thought it was great.

Simply delicious and easy to make. The syrup boiled down to gone and my daughter wanted to ***** the pan and the cream cheese topping was wonderful. Will definitely make this dish again. (I used sour cream instead of mayo as I don't like mayo.

my Mother made these for Christmas every year and only change was to add pecans to the cream cheese. Yummy -- brings back memories of a very good cook.

Just made these today! They are soooo good. I had to make them in two batches because my pot wasn't big enough. I noticed that for the second batch the candy was a bit more firm than the first batch (prob b/c I cooked out most of the H2O. Both batches came out great, but I liked my second batch of candied apples better. More candy like. One 6oz box of red hots = 1 cup.
I WILL MAKE THESE AGAIN!
Keeper!

The whole family enjoyed this treat. From the grandchildren to the adults. It was one of the dishes I didn't have worry about left-overs. Have a feeling this recipe will show up again very soon.

I watched the show today and had a bag of golden delicious apples that were on their way out. I used those and followed the directions until the end. I used whipped cream cheese (all I had and instead of adding the powdered sugar, I poured the remaining syrup from the pan into the cream cheese and whipped it up. It was great. I added some toasted almonds to the top to give it a little crunch. My husband said it would be fun for Christmas or Valentinte's Day!
