This recipe was excellent. I made it for a church cook-out and it was a winner!

The first time we did this recipe we use bottle BBQ sauce and it was really good. The second time we did the sauce in the recipe and it was even better. Wow! We cooked the chicken on the grill, just be careful... it creates a lot of flare and the chicken can burn really easily. We just left it like a minute or so on each side to get some color and moved it to the top part of the grill out of the fire. Enjoy!

I made this today for my family. The flavors were great, again though as with most anything I have made from the Neely's show, I cut down on sugar. I am not a fan of sweet main dishes. I like robust, garlicky, meditarranean flavors. I roasted it and I wouldn't recommend doing it that way because everything carmelized when it roasted, making the flavors even sweeter than they already were. My husband would like me to make it again on the grill though and I think he's right because the decadent sweetness of the flavors will complement the grill flavor, neither will be too over the top as it was when we roasted it. If nothing else though, make the BBQ sauce, in my opinion it was well worth it and tasted so delicious.

My husband made this for me about a month ago and we have probably made it every week since then. We even grill extra and make BBQ chicken sandwiches the next day for lunch. Great recipe!!

I watched this episode on television last Tuesday morning and knew that I had to try this chicken. I am sooo glad that I did. I used a bottled dressing for the marinade but the spice rub and sauce made this chicken excellent! I will certainly make this again and again!!!!

I admit I made adjustments by using bottled Italian dressing, pre-packaged barbque rub and Lone Star hot bottled sauce. Having said that if it were not for the Neely's I never would have thought of marinating the chicken in italian dressing first (marinated overnight before placing in the oven. This meal rocks!

The marinade has a great kick and is very tasty on grill without the sauce (will try the sauce when have more time. If you like spicy you will love this marinade. I wasn't able to run to the sotre so I had to make a few substitutes but still in the same ingredient family - used cider vinegar, dried onions, prepared mustard, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. I was a little worried about how these may affect the flavor ...but it was delicious! I kinda wish we had leftovers:( Thank-you for my new favorite marinade!!!

This is the BEST bbq chicken I've ever had. My only dislike was not making enough of the sauce so I could dip my chicken in it!

This recipe makes excellent BBQ Chicken. However, it makes a lot of BBQ Seasoning. Some may want to have that much on hand, however, if you would like to make less (fresh every time, try: 6 tablespoons paprika, 3 tablespoons sugar, 1 tablespoon onion powder.
