Excellent brocolli soup. I made it for the first time today and it's already almost all gone. I puree'd 2/3rds in the food processor and the remaining third only got about 3 hits on the pulse button. That gave it nicy chunky brocolli bits. Will definitely make again.

Very yummy! I added a few cloves of garlic to mine, and worked well. I did this with salad and some Italian bread. Used my new food processor for this, I will be making this again.

Definitely tasty. Easy to make, but blending can be a bit messy. Nevertheless worth the effort. I added 1 stalk of celery and it turns out well.

Thank you Neelys for this recipe. Wonderful jump start! I made a bechamel sauce using sour milk and a few slices of cheddar cheese. (I hate to throw anything away I used more broccoli and 2 carrots. When they were steamed, I mashed all (onions, brocoli and carrots together, added chicken stock and this is one beautiful soup!

Simple and easy to make. I made a few additions: lots of spinach to boost the fiber and vitamins and one large Yukon gold potato (chopped small. I made some yeast rolls to balance out the meal.

My mom made this exact recipe without pureeing and it was excellent, down to the croutons. I'm making it again tonight, without the cream and serving it with grilled cheese sandwiches instead of the croutons. Easy, healthy, economical & DELICIOUS!

This is my favorite broccoli soup recipe, ever! I puree half the soup in a blender, and leave half as is. I like the texture better this way. I also stir in 2 cups of shredded cheddar at the end. Absolutely delicious!! :

This was DELICIOUS!!! I just bought a Vita Mix and was struggling to find a great soup. This is a GREAT soup! I made it as directed, except for using milk instead of cream. I put it in the blender (in batches to get the desired consistency. Loved it!!!!!
