"DELECTABLE, DELIGHTFUL, and DELICIOUS'! I followed this recipe to the letter and Won - 1st place in our church grill bar-b-que contest! The judges awarded me a 'PERFECT SCORE' of 120 points out of a 120 points, based on taste, texture, and presentation. I will use this recipe forever! Thank you so very much. I love the Neelys! Hope to meet you one day, to personally thank you and hug you for helping me win -1st place in our church BBQ competition!

made this for memorial day...yummo! the only thing i did differently was the cooking time....i couldn't wait that long for it to cook plus my grill was soooo hot so it was done in about an hour and a half. i also didn't "marinate" the ribs long enough. i just smacked it on there and put it in my food saver bag hoping that sucking the air out of it would help. i will definitely make this again soon.

I grilled the pork ribs only for Memorial Day and prepped them the day before, making and putting on the rub, wrapping the ribs in plastic wrap and putting in the fridge until the next day. I took them out of the wrap, re-wrapped them in foil tightly and put them on baking sheets in a 275 degree oven for two and a half hours, until the meat pulled away from the bones. We then barbecued them and basted them with Neely's dynamite sauce on the grill until they were heated through. BEST RIBS I EVER ATE! The guests said they were better than any restaurant ribs they ever tasted and they were RIGHT ON! The only thing I would do differently next time is perhaps try another rub. This one is a little too heavy on the paprika for my taste and not enough spice--other than that, the ribs were perfect! You must try this recipe....the sauce is to die for; you may want to double the recipe as I did so you have plenty left for ham barbecue sandwiches....Yummy.

The Sauce and Rub are great. Just note that both listed here have slight quantity variations versus the Neely Rub and Sauce listed in some of their other recipes on the FN site (even after adjustment for quantity being produced for that application. They arent huge, only slight--though one Sauce recipe includes a tbsp of corn syrup; this one doesnt. Just FYI, no way meant to be a knock on them. I like what they produce food wise.

Crazy man, I know! This sauce was AMAZING! I didn't think it would be spicy enough for me but the sweet flavor on the front of the mouth and the spice of pepper on the back of the throat was so so good. I used the rub as well on ribs and put the sauce in a squeeze bottle to use on the side b/c hubby doesn't like "wet" and it was more than I could have hoped for. I'll never use another sauce recipe. I put the rub on a rack of St. Louis style ribs in the morning, kept in fridge, cooked the sauce and baked the ribs last night in the oven @ 350 for an hour and a half. I couldn't stop tasting the sauce throughout the day.

This was the very first BBQ sauce that I ever tried to make so I was a little nervous about trying it. The reviews were very good but many people that it was too sweet or to much vinegar. I made it according to the recipe and thought it was fantastic. You can always adjust it to your own liking after the first try. As far as I'm concerned they hit a home run with this sauce. It not only tastes great but is so easy to make. No more grocery store stuff for us. Only homemade will do.
