Used a more complex rub, but ran out of BBQ sauce. Used this recipe to prevent going to store. Came out pretty good. Will make my own sauce whent the time permits from now on. Sauce has a nice tangy taste to go along with the sweetness. Carmelized well on the grill.

I made the Pork Ribs for a special treat for my husband on July 4th. I am not a fan of ribs, but I could not get over how great the sauce was or how quick and easy they were to prepare. I definitely will make these again. Keep them coming Neelys.

I love the Neeley's and their show tremendously.
However I disagree with the cook time for the pork ribs. If your marinade for the rib is truly on point and your fire is also, a slab of rib can be cooked in 45 minutes to an hour.

I have tried several recipes from the Neelys now and I don't know that I will try them again. They are always just average. I may have a higher standard than most being that I lived in Mississippi for many years, and had true down home bbq from many skilled southerners. I also visited Memphis many many times and have a favorite Memphis restaurant that I now mail order from. Memphis bbq should be spicy and flavorful. This one is not.

Perfect smoked ribs for a first timer. I used two rounds of wood chips and cooked the ribs over charcoal for a little over six hours. The BBQ sauce had a little too much sugar for me but was still very good. I used a drip-pan under the ribs and added the drippings to the sauce. The ribs were outstanding and I will cook them again soon.

Who would have know that something so simple would be so good. I made the ribs for a family cook-out and my mother a chef in her own right, raved about how tender and tasty the ribs were (even w/o the sauce. This recipe has become a regular for me when cooking ribs.

I never have done any grilling on my own,and this turned out great! The dry rub seemed really weird, and didn't taste very good when I mixed it all up, but it all changed once it got infused with the pork on the grill.I let it marinate for 2 days in the fridge. They were great alone, but I did make the BBQ sauce to go with it,and let me tell you, I got rave reviews!!! I even cooked it wrong! Since I never used my gas grill before, I didnt know how to control the heat and so it cooked a little over 2 hours @ 400 degrees. It came out awesome still. Id still want to try and slow cook it next time though.

I made a slab of the pork ribs for Memorial Day and boy were they good. We grilled them using just coals, but they turned out excellent. My brother and I loved the flavor of the ribs, and the homemade bbq sauce was perfect with them.
