AMAZING! This sauce is very easy to make, and tastes delicious! It is by far one of the best BBQ sauces I have ever tasted. It is a little thinner than traditional bottled BBQ sauce, so I reduced the water to 2/3 cup. You will not regret trying this!

Great sauce and easy to make. I used it with a pulled pork I had made.

I really like this. It's super easy to make and I thought the balance of favors was just right. We use a very spicy dry rub on our ribs. The rub doesn't have any sugar in it. It's basically dried hot chili peppers, black pepper, salt, and garlic. So the sugar, mustard, tomato, and vinegar in the sauce are exactly what's needed to make a perfect balance of flavors. (We braise and grill the ribs with only the rub, brushing on a bit of sauce at the end and then serve some on the side.. If I was doing a 'wet' style BBQ I might dial back the sugar and add some heat but we use the rub most of the time.

Took the reviewers' advice below and cut the sugar substantially (more than half. Added a little sugar back in while simmering. Served on the side with baby back ribs. Zesty, powerful flavor. Rave reviews from guests at Christmas. Will absolutely make this again.

OMG! Made this recipe on whim for Christmas! Served the sauce over wild rice meatballs...a Minnesota tradition! Loved the sweet, zesty taste...addicting horsd'oeuvres to say the least! Many thanks and Happy Holidays to the Neely's!

Really sweet (so I sometimes reduce the sugar, but put this on meat and serve with coleslaw and it's delicious.

soooo delicious. I made mine with pork loin (and only 4 pounds, which only took 4-4.5 hours. I also elevated the pork in a roasting pan (if you don't have a rack for the roasting pan, I found a great alternative in rolling up 4 pieces of tin foil and laying them across the width of the pan.

I love the sauce. I read a comment saying they were going to try Neely's bbq sauce next time, and since I had a few hours to kill, I made both. I love the sandwich with the recipe's sauce alone, but if you want a little extra kick and taste, the Neely's added was awesome! If you aren't a mustard/vinegar fan and love regular store-bought bbq sauce, definitely cut the vinegar and kick up the ketchup. But, I loved it as-is.

This barbecue sauce is so good. I added a scotch bonnet pepper to add a little spice, and pepper flavor.
