    I was out of bbq sauce one day, and looked for a recipe on the website and came across this one. I tried it out and have not bought bbq sauce from a store since. My family likes it a little spicy so I add about a half tablespoon of siracha and a tablespoon of hoisin sauce to the base.

    Loved this sauce. I didn't cook it though, just put it on baby back ribs in a crock pot and it turned out wonderful.

    Absolutely wonderful...made it to pour over some left-over chopped pork loin roast for sandwiches. Makes a take 2 meal taste extra special. I love the idea of making big batches and canning it for gifts....sounds like a good way to make Christmas extra special.

    I made this in huge batches and have canned it! Amazing.. I love it.. it's like my perfect bbq sauce! Thank you for this recipe! (I add a lil smoked chipotle powder for heat and more smoke..

    OMG... this is the BEST ever.. 1st enjoyed this when I went to visit my best friend in Louisiana, they keep it made and use it on everything - came home, made it for my family, and they love it too... although we don't go through it as fast as my best friend and her family, I share this recipe with everyone I know !

    Kicked up the spice flavor with Sriracha. This is a strong hot chili sauce so start small and then increase. So fantastic that I made another batch today!

    This is an awesome barbecue sauce. There's no reason to buy bottled anymore, and it's so easy to make.

    Never knew it was that easy to make. Cut the sugar a little. The Neelys love their sugar, and added some heat and its a winner. Don't think I will be buying it ever again.

    I love a good sweet barbeque and this one perfect for a smoky pulled pork shoulder and the like. However, I added some Basil Hayden's bourbon, that I reduce for about 5 min before adding to the sauce. It adds a wonderful bourbon flavor and really livens up the other flavors already present in the sauce.
