This is one of the best strawberry cakes I have ever made. It is a hit every place I take it. Great for the summer.

This cake was so simple to make. I used it for a carry-in at work and it was a HIT! In fact the plan was to have it for lunch but everyone was so excited to try it, it ended up being breakfast with no leftovers!!! I highly recommend trying it!!

I was so excited to try this one, but it was just ok. It came out kind of soggy, and I thought it was too much work for the end result. The teens liked it though.

Awesome! Very moist and not to sweet. Great summer cake. I substituted dark rum on the strawberries and it turned out just as good.

This was really good. I have made jello cakes before but not with strawberry cake, strawberry jello and strawberries on top. It is a strawberry lovers dream.

The last time I checked, the recipe was called a shortcut cake, not a shortcake. So naturally it won't taste like one because it isn't meant to be one. And the cake is very delicious and moist, will make it again.

I'm not a baker, but even I could make this and the crowd really enjoyed it. It's fresh, cool and not to sweet.

    Enjoyed by all..

I made this cake for work and it was a big hit. The strawberry flavor was the best. I love the show and keep up the good work. May God bless you and your family.

This strawberry shortcut cake was fabulous. I made two 8X8 one to keep home and one to take to take out. I used whipped topping, left out the cognac, and even made it a day ahead of time. I was worried that the cake would be soggy but it was delicious the day I made it and the next. I would make this again.
