YUMMY!! This was my first time making coleslaw and it was so good!! I definitely will cut the sugar by half next time, that is a lot of sugar. Other than that, it is definitely a recipe I will make all Summer! I paired it with some pulled pork sandwiches, and it was perfect!

Talk about a topper "Dynomite" on a great pulled pork sandwich using Pat's home made BBQ Sauce. My whole neighborhood is talking and asking for the recipe, but I'm not giving it up till after our annual pork cook off.

I made this recipe last year for 185 ppl( 55 and older community for my company's annual shrimp boil. I got nothing but complements. Everyone said it was the best cole slaw they've ever had. They've ask me to make it again this year. I made this today for Memorial Day week end. It is just my husband & I so I cut the recipe in 1/2. I grate my onion and use 16oz. cole slaw mix , took all of 20 minutes to put together. We love this recipe and I love the Neely's

I liked it but I agree it is way too sweet! I started with 1/2 a cup of sugar and it was still too much. I added more mustard and salt to help cut the sweetness.

First off, I would never have added a whole cup of sugar. We started off with 1/4 c sugar, 1/4 c splenda but realized that was a bit too sweet as well, so we cut it with more apple cider vinegar and whole grain mustard and some salt and that made it better, also a teaspoon of some homemade habanero pepper sauce. My brother still thinks it's too sweet, but I'm fine with it.

Very good but next time I'll hand chop the cabbage and shred the carrots by hand.

Best coleslaw recipe! I did cut sugar and cayanne pepper by 1/3 and added dried cranberries. Everyone raves about "my" coleslaw.

This is my GO TO coleslaw recipe! I use honey mustard instead of regular mustard, cut the sugar to 1/2 cup and don't use the cayenne.

I also use a bag or two of coleslaw mix, then add onion. Dijon is great in it. It's our favorite and we keep coming back to it. Won't use any other slaw recipe again. We have even used the broccoli slaw mix and it turned out great. For my father who is a diabetic, I've cut sugar by half or more and added some Splenda.
