I thought it was OK. Its very moist and not like real fudge. If you are in search of something that tastes like and has the same texture as fudge, this is not the recipe. But if you like pumpkin, which i love, then this is go to if your looking for low fat and need to cure your chocolate fix!

These are not that "tasty". They are way too pumpkiny, Perhaps using applesauce, which is normally used to replace the oil content would have been better, the taste does not overpower the recipe. One might also try adding miniature chocolate chips to beef up the chocolate flavor. I would not make these again.

I was so excited when my son helped me make these brownies. Yes I am a chocolate lover so when I taste them I was dissapointed because they taste like pumpkin. I mean I know that this is a low-fat recipe but come on if I wanted a pumpkin after taste I would have made a pumpkin pie or something. So I guess I will eat brownies made with yes oil and eggs in moderation before I go this route again. This pumpkin dessert will go in the trash.

Wasn't sure what to expect based on the reviews, but decided to give it a shot. You should too, BUT:
1. Do not expect it to taste EXACTLY like fudge! It's more like a fudgy brownie. Thick, moist texture, but not sugary like fudge.
2. Adjust the amount of pumpkin based on package weight of the brownie mix. The mix I bought was less than what HG used, so I added less pumpkin too.
3. I used sugar free mix and sugar free syrup.
4. Eat ONLY when VERY chilled. They are actually quite good...and healthy!

If you want fudge, this is not the recipe. If you like chocolate pumpkin, I would suggest it.

A little too gooey, too much pumpkin flavor and the texture was a little odd. Made it for my friends and, of the 6, only 1 liked it. Interesting to try, but wouldn't make it again.

Honestly, the first 5 or 6 pieces had me confused, it has a different texture and the taste was interesting, after my family finished off the first pan (we have two very picky eaters, I will be making this again, very tasty and actually better for you then the eggs and oil. Give it a chance, eat more then 2 or 3 pieces and then decide.

This was terrible. Even my 3 yr old grandchild took one bite and asked for a different dessert! It had almost a gelatinous texture. I had to throw the whole thing out.

This recipe was quick, easy and tasted great. I loved the pumpkin in it, knowing that I was using healthier options than butter/eggs/oil. It's also an easy recipe to let the kids help with. Will definitely make it again.
