I cut the recipe in half, and had to add a little milk to make it moist enough for "drop" biscuits. The texture was great..light and fluffy, but I didn't care for the "sour" flavor that I detected from the sour cream. Also, the butter really makes them leave an oily residue on your mouth/lips and fingers. A little sugar or honey might take the sour cream edge off. I think I prefer using milk or buttermilk and not so much fat. I'd probably like them more if I liked sour cream better.

I liked the idea of this easy way of making a biscuit like product. No rolling, no mess. My family liked them very much. I have a health issue with cholesterol so next time I am going to try making them with smart balance and fat free yogurt. I hope they are half as good as the real thing.

Yuck! To salty. I only ate one and tossed the rest in the trash.

AWESOME! I think I might try putting in 1 cup of finely shredded cheddar cheese next time; I think you could add crumbled bacon too and make it out of this world. thanks Trisha for sharing this recipe!!!!

Loved this muffin...very simple to make and when it is still just warm out of the oven, I break it up into large chunks into a bowl and serve mashed strawberries over it that have been slightly sweetened...my family loves it!

I make drop biscuits for my family every weekend. Last weekend I made this recipe and they loved them. They said they were better than my usual biscuits. We now have a new breakfast recipe.
