This pie was so easy and so delicious! I also added 2 tsp cornstarch and 2 tsp cinnamon to the apples. Everyone loved it! item not reviewed by moderator and published
This was my first apple pie to make. I'll definitely remake it as it was easy and absolutely delicious. I used 3/4 tsp cinnamon, 3 tsp cornstarch, and 1/2 c white sugar and 1/4 c packed brown sugar. I covered the edges of my pie with foil before baking to keep the edges from overcooking. Perfect! item not reviewed by moderator and published
I made this delicious pie a few weeks ago. I prepared exactly as written except added a tiny sprinkling of cinnamon. It came out perfectly. My friends and family loved it. I'm making it again tonight for company. My son has an egg allergy and this is a great dessert to serve with homemade whipped cream or eggless ice cream. item not reviewed by moderator and published
Best Apple Pie and so easy.We ate it for breakfast! Used brown sugar instead and gluten free store bought crust, tasted like flakey butter crust from 100 yrs ago. Winner! item not reviewed by moderator and published
I had some extra Gala apples around and I decided to give this a try. I cut the white sugar to 1/2 cup, added 1/4 cup of light brown sugar and added about 1/2 tsp of ground cinnamon. Other than that, I followed the recipe as directed. Total winner! Family loved it! I think next time if I use Gala apples I'll cut the white sugar back even more, as those apples are very sweet to begin with. item not reviewed by moderator and published
This recipe was so quick and easy and one of the better homeade apple pies I've ever had. I used Braeburn apples. I also added 3/4 tsp cinnamon and did the 1/2 brown sugar and 1/2 white sugar. I also added 3 tsp cornstarch to thicken the filling. Delicious! item not reviewed by moderator and published
To help with the watery filling I added a little bit of cornstarch to help absorb it. I also used 1/2 brown sugar and 1/2 white sugar and added 3/4 tsp of cinnamon... it was perfect! item not reviewed by moderator and published
As the last reviewer said, the filling was a bit watery, but only the first time I cut into it. Other than that this recipe is excellent! I'm very much a beginner at cooking, and this was my first attempt to make a pie. It was the easiest possible recipe, yet everyone who tried it said it tasted amazing. I thought it had a little too much sugar, so I might use less next time, and I'll probably try adding cinnamon. item not reviewed by moderator and published
the filling is always a bit watery. Other than that, this recipe can't be beat for its simplicity. item not reviewed by moderator and published
Also, the first slice was just a teeny bit watery. Not bad at all. Bake several hours ahead of time to cut back on wateriness. item not reviewed by moderator and published
Did you sprinkle the corn starch right over the apples or over the butter?<br /> item not reviewed by moderator and published
