This recipe is awesome. It is so easy, and comes out perfect everytime. I used bone in short ribs, and it was perfect. I also sometimes use balsamic vinegar instead of white vinegar, and it is great both ways. I use variations of this sauce on pork loin and roast beef, and it always turns out great. This is one of my favorite recipes on food network.

I can't believe I didn't rate this recipe before. Made it for a pot luck and people were fighting over it... almost. Made again to take down to my parents, they also really dug it. *** These ribs are expensive. I found today, the university near my town has an "Ag Dept". Part of that is a meat lab. If you live near a college, check it out. Short ribs were $3.75 a lb ***

Fair, not great. Browning the meat first, which was not included in this recipe is a time consuming step, but well worth it. Also, this recipe did not include any wine--an ingredient that adds a ton of flavor. Anne Burrell's Braised Short Ribs are MUCH better, in my opinion.

I was alittle skeptical at first since I have always browned the meat before baking, but I thought if this works, it will save a time-consuming step in the future.. I prepared the ribs as stated in the recipe and it turned out perfect! I might try and double the sauce next time as it was awesome. Served with baked seasoned potato wedges and baked carrots and there was nothing left after my wife and 2 teenage daughters got done. Thanks Sunny

Super Easy and Totally FANTASTIC!!!! Absolutely great recipe.

I dry rubbed the meat with seasoning prior to pan searing the short ribs on each side before roasting them. I added red pepper flakes and cayenne pepper to the meat and the sauce for an extra kick. These ribs were so tender and juicy. No need to order them out anymore. They were perfect. I paired this with greens, cajun-parmesan crusted potatoes and yorkshire pudding. Will definitely make again, soon!

In all my many years of cooking, this is the first time I made short ribs. They were fabulous! The meat was tender and full of flavor. I was amazed at how much the ribs shrunk so I was glad I bought 4 pounds for 3 people; had enough leftovers to feed 2. The sauce was tasty; love the thyme in it. Once you skim the fat off the sauce, it was delicious over the meat. Would definitely make this again and will use the sauce recipe for other dishes.

These ribs are wonderful. I made them for my family and everyone loved them, Including my mother who has never met a rib she liked until this one. But there is a lot of leftover barbecue sauce so we just save it and use it the next time we grill out of bake something with barbecue sauce. Thank you Sunny.

Excellent! Better than restaurant ribs. I found beef ribs too fatty; I use pork loin country ribs, and double the sauce recipe so there's plenty for dipping.
