    My neighbor works on a mussel boat and unexpectedly brought us mussels one afternoon. Yes - a great neighbor!! I had no white wine on hand for the usual way I cook them so I came here looking for an alternative. These were INCREDIBLE!! We tossed them with some brown rice fettuccine (we're gluten free and even the kids gobbled them up. I will make this again any time he wants to bring us more mussels. Plus milk is cheaper than wine! ;
