These are really fabulous!!! Will make again for sure. BTW - for those of you who cna't find Whole Wheat Pastry Flour, try Whole Foods if you have one in your area. I wasn't sure about buting a whole bag, but now that I have found this recipe, I will probably use the entire bag!!!

I couldn't wait to eat one of these so I tried one right after they had cooled for 15 minutes. It was still warm on the inside. Oh my gosh, what a treat! And I love the real chunks of apple in there. I cannot find whole wheat pastry flour in my grocery store so I just used whole wheat flour. I will definitely make these again.

Saw this recipe air on Food Network HD last night and tried it this morning since I was needing to make something to use up apples and buttermilk! These definitely exceeded my expectations and were really easy to prepare. The only change I made to the original recipe was to add 1/2 t. of pumpking pie seasoning to the batter. I'm looking forward to freezing the leftovers for busy mornings.

These muffins are a perfect complement to a fruit smootie in the morning. I make a batch on the weekend and have plenty to last me through the week. My only alteration is that I coat walnuts with flour and then put them in the muffins rather than pecans on top. I like the crunch on the inside of the muffing and if you are like me, you will burn the muffins if the nuts are on top. I am going to make the pumpkin muffins next, they look yummy!

These muffins are delicious! I make them quite often...freeze, then 30 seconds in the microwave. Great breakfast food for on the go.

These muffins are really good. My 17 year old son ate 4 of them in 1 sitting. They are a great item to have around for a quick breakfast when you're short on time. The flavor is very good and they are filling as well.

Very yummy and somewhat healthy at the same time. Although next time i will use more yellow apple or a green apple.
