Quick and easy but tasty and filling. The bean addition to the meat is great and using the chili powder, cayenne pepper and garlic instead of a taco seasoning packet was great. I will never waste another dollar on a seasoning packet!

This recipe comes together in a flash. It was perfect for a hot summer day because I didn't feel like heating up the kitchen. This dish is very filling due to the addition of beans but very light and tasty becuase of all the lettuce and tomatoes. Loved it!

i loved this receipe..but i found that it was better with a couple of changes...
i added a tad of salt to the ground beef and corn in addition to the tomatoes.
other than that, it was so good for how little calories it is. whenever i order a taco salad at a restaurant its always around 1000 calories..this is a quick way for me to fulfill my craving without adding on all the extra calories

I have four teenagers still living at home and we are a very busy family, it was so nice to be able to make one of their favorite meals but so much healthier than I have made it in the past. To everyones surprise it tasted better than the heavier version we have eaten for years. I like trying new recipes and usually end up changing one thing or another but with this salad it was such a hit that I am not changing anything and will make it often.

Everyone wants something light yet filling enough for a meal. I found this taco salad did the trick. It's unusual in that the beef filling portion has no tomato in it, that made it lighter and the tomato lime dressing and lettuce made it probably the freshest main dish I'd had in a while. It was easy and assembled in a flash! One thing I did do was saute a chopped onion with the beef filling to smooth out the taste. Even better as leftovers.

I am a vegetarian so I had to substitute the ground beef with a meatless version of its kind. As a former meat eater I am sure the original recipe is much better, but mine wasn't bad at all. Its an affordable, quick, and easy dish to put together... not a huge mess to clean up afterwards either. Will keep in my recipe box.

Great salad that is easy to take for lunch and keep everything separate so nothing gets soggy!
