I made this for my family tonight and they loved it. plus is is healthy. I used extra lean turkey instead of beef, and i also sated mushrooms with a splash of white wine, and some garlic to give it extra flavor, it was fantastic. Easiest lasagna ever!

I made this and thought the whole wheat noodles gave it lots of great flavor! The only change that I made was I used a bag of fresh spinach that I chopped instead of frozen. Review from my friends at dinner was "THIS LASAGNA ROCKS!"

I like homemade lasagna that's easy and just a little different than the norm. This wasn't quite as "better" as it could have been because I added more beef and cheese than it called for, but that was my choice, and the recipe would've bee great as is (I did add more spinach too. I could'nt even tell the noodles were whole wheat- and that was one of my concerns before eating it. I was able to bring half to a friend with a new baby and keep half for us. I will definitly make this again!

I loooved this recipe! My usual lasagna consist only of beef, but this year I started eating a little more "healthy" so I decided to try this out and boy, I was impressed. The only minor variances that I did was not using the wheat pasta since I can't stand it, so I used regular pasta. And when cooking the ground beef I sauted 1 garlic clove in about 1 tbs of olive oil and then added the beef. Lightly seasoned it with basil, seasoned salt and a pinch of garlic salt. I only added 4 oz of mushrooms but next time I will add a little bit more. And added around cup and half of the sauce (used Ragu to the beef.

Just made this for my family. As far as there being more noodles in this recipe (my mom always used like 3 layers too, I still thought it turned out good and was actually fuller quicker. Normally, it is at least two servings of my mother's lasagna but I was honestly full after the first piece. I was hoping someone on here questioned the fact that this says it is six servings???If that is the case I had more like half of a piece. I was thinking more like 8-12. Just wondered what others thought because I do try to keep track of my calories and there is a big difference between 530 and 1050! Either way if you are considering this recipe I would say go for it because it turned out really good for me.

I made this for my parents and sister when they came to visit. It turned out so great! I added garlic powder to the meat after I browned it for just a bit more taste. I'll definitely be making this one again.

Two thumbs up!!! Easy to make, easy to clean up and best of all the recipe makes a good amount of servings so there are leftovers:

This sounds like a lot of noodles. Normally I have 2 layers of lasagna noodles, 2 layers of ricotta cheese mixture and 2 layers of red meat sauce - mozzarella cheese on top. Any thoughts on layering lasagna noodles, red sauce, ricotta cheese, then start over with the noodles? Is more noodles better? I like substituting the meat with more mushrooms.

I left out the beef and put in extra mushrooms and spinach. I also used fresh spinach instead of frozen. I think the cook time listed of 1 hour and 15 min was including the prep time.

This was a tasty but time consuming, as lasagne tends to be. However, the recipe was not checked carefully before it was posted. Cooking time was listed as 1 hour 15 minutes but the recipe stated to cook for 45 minutes covered and 15 minutes uncovered.
