Just okay. Ellie is one of my favorite chefs -- I love her healthy takes on food and most of the time I rave about her recipes but this one didn't quite cut it for me. I guess I got spoiled by Giada's awesome biscotti recipe! At any rate, this is very good but it is not really sweet and I simply could not get it to come together -- it was so dry. Try it to see if you like it but I prefer Giada's take on this one!! Try Ellie's healthy brownies though -- they are divine!!

A really great tasting, healthy biscotti. I made them for the holidays and everyone raved. If you want them sweeter, I would recommend adding some stevia.

I tried this. It's just ok. It's not really sweet enough. There is a place here in Scottsdale called Gina's Homemade that make a similar biscotti that I really like. They are awesome. They have make 7 or 8 different types of biscotti. I'm not sure what their recipe is but they are good. www.ginashomemade.com for anyone that is interested... I am going to try a different recipe and see if I can make a little more unctuous.

Thanks for teaching me this wonderful healthy twist to such a popular Italian cookie. The little chocolate bits and fruit zest really are the highlights in my opinion. And I love using wheat flour! Thank you so much for the recipe :

I was scared to try this...they looked hard. They weren't! Incredibly delicious. I like to serve them along with very thick, rich hot chocolate. This is one of my favorite recipes. Regular flour works fine, too!

Made these for my dad's birthday because he likes cherries and chocolate. I was very disappointed in the quality of these biscottis. I was really looking forward to this recipe, but I would not make these again. They tasted like flour, they had no sweetness and they were very plain. I would not recommend these!

Simply delicious. We used sliced almonds and a dark chocolate bar. Didn't have whole wheat flour either, but it still turned out great!

I used craisins instead of dried cherries. I also used sliced almonds and a dark chocolate (70% bar that I sliced in thin, short pieces. It was easy to mix in my stand mixer. I decorated the baked slices with royal icing using a small decorating tip and packaged them to ship to my family.

THANKS ELLIE FOR THIS GREAT RECIPE!

I used macadamia nut oil instead of olive oil and 60% cacoa chocolate chips, and I didn't have any orange zest so I used orange flavoring. YUM. I could proably sell these.
crumbly, sweet but tart goodness. :

This is a great recipe. I just used all all-purpose flour, no orange zest and substituted craisens for the dried cherries. When you first make the dough, it seems too dry, but if you keep neading it will be just perfect. Went over great at the office, tons of compliments.
