I made this for Mom's surprise 70th b.day brunch!! it was a HUGE hit and now i'm making for a baby shower brunch. I too thought it was a bit WET, I'm going to increase the bread amount because of a larger crowd,But for a smaller crowd I'll decrease eggs to 12 total. 6 + 6 whites, maybe cut back on milk by 1/2 cup. Enjoy!

This was a pretty good recipe, I only used 1/4th of all the ingredients as specified since I was making this dish for two. I utilized a cupcake pan instead of the 9x13 and got 6 "cup cakes" worth of the blueberry french toast bakes. I incorporated the blueberries throughout the mixture prior to putting them into the cupcake pan and they were good. I also heated up the maple syrup with some cinnamon on it for a little more flavor. Will make it again.

Very tasty with some alterations: halved the recipe and used a 9x9 pan, regular baguette, 4 eggs and only 2 whites, 3 tbs. of maple syrup, added a pinch of salt, skipped the almonds, and used 2 tbs. of brown sugar on top. My kids devoured it. It was still a bit eggy for me in spots, so I may skip the egg whites next time.

Since I made this recipe, a number of my family members have asked me for the recipe. It's really a great recipe.

My family loved this recipe. Made the night before - put the bread and egg in a bowl and tossed to coat (less eggs than called for, used liquid egg product. Topped with a little Splenda brown sugar. Used regular maple syrup (less than the recipe called for so it was probably sweeter than reported in other reviews. Fabulous!

Very disappointed in this recipe. It sounded so good but came out plan and SUPER soggy and we ended up throwing over half of it away. I will however make it again lowering the amount of eggs, adding more vanilla, putting a litte more maple syrup, adding brown sugar IN the egg mix and possibly making it in a cupcake pan instead of the big 9x13 for more crisp.

This was fairly easy to make. If I make it again however, I'll probably add more sugar. I understand why the recipe doesn't call for more (healthiness and whatnot and that works fine for me...but if I want my family to rave over it, it's got to be sweeter ;-
