This coffee cake was very good, although you can certainly tell that it is a healthful product--there's nothing wrong with that, but I wouldn't pass it off as a traditional coffee cake. It is just barely sweet enough--if you like your sweets sweet, bump up the brown sugar by a 1/4 cup. Also, the batter is Super sticky and hard to spread, so when you do the second layer, drop it by heaping spoonfuls all over the pan to minimize the amount of spreading you have to do. The "Loads of Blueberries Coffee Cake" recipe on this site is also very good, healthful and easier to make than this one. I will probably stick with that recipe when I've got blueberries to bake!

Very tasty and moist! I used mixed frozen berries, which is what I had at hand, and that worked very well.

Amazingly fluffy. I think if I toast the pecans first will make the cake taste better.
Kinda of dry the next day.

Ok I just had to write this review. Made this the other day and it was delicious! Will be making this again for sure! I followed the recipe exactly and it came out great. I had no problems with the baking time either.

Delicious! Made for baby shower brunch and it was gobbled up. Moister than it looked coming out of the over. I increased cooking time about 10 minutes.

I am about to make this Blueberry Coffee Cake for the second time. It came out perfectly the first time. Actually was a lot "fluffier" than I expected. Ellie proves delicious can be healthy!

The use of just enough butter for flavor is great! I agree, however, with some of the other reviews that the baking time is way off. Maybe a slightly bigger pan, or higher temperature would help. The dough has kind of a biscuit consistency so maybe cooking a little hotter is a good idea. Or, you could put the blueberries on the bottom to eliminate the uncooked 'goo' that forms in the middle.

This was slightly more time consuming than making muffins or coffee cake that I'm used to making but completely worth it. I can't believe there's only 2 tablespoons of butter in this. This coffee cake is absolutely delicious! If I could give it more than 5 stars I would. This will now be a staple in my household. Great recipe!

I love to eat healthy and I love dessert. This recipe is so simple and delicious. I make it frequently. No one has a clue it isn't choc full of butter and sugar. It tastes great!
