This coffee cake turned out excellent! I'm a huge fan of the blueberry coffee cake from Starbucks, and this one is definitely just as good (if not better and a whole lot healthier for you too! I used frozen blueberries instead of fresh, and the cake still turned out wonderful. Make sure to thaw and drain the blueberries well before mixing them in, or else you might end up with a super moist cake. Overall, very tasty, fluffy and delicious!

Wow, what a delicious cake. I've been baking regular coffee cakes for 20 years but this is just as good and healthier. I used a 9 inch glass pan and the cake came out perfect in 35 minutes. It was very moist and flavorful. My roommate told me he could not believe it was low-cal. I can't wait to make it again. If you loved this recipe, you have to try her Blueberry buckwheat pancakes. They are just as good!

I made this coffee cake three times already.
The first time I did it with blueberries and the second
time I made another blueberry one and a strawberry one.
    They came out soooo good.
My parents drink lots of tea and to give them something
sweet and healthy along with the tea I make them this.
They love it as much as I do. . .I'm glad I found this recipe.
    Ellie is so cool!

I made ths coffee cake last night and it was perfect! It was nice and tender with a lighter crumb.

I read the reviews before making it and I can think of a few things that would help some folks.

    1. When creaming the butter and sugar, make sure to fully cream the mixture until it is much lighter and fluffier.
    2. Use the whole wheat pastry flour that is suggested instead of the whole wheat flour.
    3. Don't overmix the batter.

One addition I would include in the instructions is to line the cake tin with foil leaving flaps on two ends to use as handles. I did have trouble getting the cake out of the tin and was kicking myself a bit for being lazy. I coaxed it out without a problem, but this would have saved some aggrevation.

i cooked the cake for 35 mins, tested it with a tooth pick and it came out clean . I let it cool down for 10 mins when i went to flip it over on to the cooling rack, the center fell out. My grandson was very diappointed as he helpped to make it.

The flavor was awesome, the texture was awesome, and I love that it?s healthier than the average coffee cake. I?m fifteen, so I still have a lot to learn when it comes to cooking, but I think this was an awesome turnout. It was easy to cook (especially because my dad did the dishes and I can?t wait to cook it again!

i'm not renowned for my baking skills yet this cake is the best i have ever
tasted. my husband raved and so did his colleagues at work. i did not have
plain yogurt so i substituted vanilla 1% yogurt and also used more berries
and walnuts even though this raised the caloric content a bit. delicious!

This a wonderful recipe that I will make again for sure. My husband is the blueberry king in our house and raved on this. Didn't have yogurt so I used sour cream and it turned out nice and moist.
