Made it for the first time today with my 2 1/2 and 5 year old and it was so easy and delicious! We added mini marshmellows and used roasted almonds instead. We also used the dried cherries. You for sure need the dark chocolate for this! Cant wait to try this recipe again and share with friends!!!

    Satisfying
Keeps me from going from refrigerator to cabinets?looking for something?anything to eat.
Kind of reminds me of a "chunky" candy bar.

I have made these clusters several times now and they are a perfect chocolate treat. Sometimes I grab one in the afternoon with a piping hot cup of coffee. The chocolate, nuts and cranberries combined with a hot cup of coffee are the perfect afternoon, guilt-free pick me up. I make 24 clusters so each cluster is is less calories and just a bite size.

My grandaughter, age 4, and I made these easy and delicious treats and they were awsome! I don't bake because I don't like to measure and these were easy and sinfully good without all the sugar and guilt of store bought treats.

I also used cranberries instead of cherries, only because they were way less expensive. I was not disappointed! The perfect combination for any craving: slightly salty, sweet, and chocolatety!!!

SO VERY AND PLEASANTLY SURPRISED AT RESULTS OF THESE CANDIES. HONESTLY, NO MUSS OR FUSS AND THE TASTE IS SO DELICIOUS....YOU WILL LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, THEM.
A BIT MESSY SPOONING THEM ONTO A WAXED PAPER - LINED COOKIE SHEET AND NEXT TIME I MAKE THEM, I WILL MAKE THEM A BIT SMALLER - WHICH MEANS I WILL TAKE TWO!

AND TO THINK THIS IS GOOD FOR YOU! WOW!
DEFINITELY TOAST THE ALMONDS - I USED THE SLICED ALMONDS AND DID A ROUGH CHOP AND TOASTED THEM IN A DRY PAN ON THE STOVE - WATCH THEM ! THEY GO FROM NORMAL TO TOASTED IN AN INSTANT
. I USED TART AND SWEET DRIED CHERRIES AND 70% DARK CHOCOLATE (WITH SALT AND 60% DARK CHOCOLATE. BECAUSE THATS WHAT I HAD ON HAND. BUT, I DON'T THINK YOU CAN GO WRONG WITH THIS RECIPE - I WOULDN'T USE SWEET CHOCOLATE THOUGH BECAUSE DRIED CHERRIES ARE PRETTY SWEET ON THEIR ON AND ITS THE PLAY OF THE CHOCOLATE AGAINST THAT SWEETNESS THAT MAKES IT WORK.
II PUT THEM IN LITTLE MINI PAPER CUPS FOR PRESENTATION AND STORED THEM IN A COOKIE TIN....OPENING THE TIN UP YOU WILL GET HIT BY THE MOST WONDERFUL SCENT OF CHOCOLATE.

    INICE GOING ELLIE!

I used dried cranberries instead of cherries, which are my personal favorite cause they are so tart and yummy. I used some left over chocolate baking squares i had from Chrstmas they were easy to make and deliscious. I set them on parchment paper on a cookie sheet and put them in the frig, they were perfect in a couple of hours! Will definately make again. Oh, I also used, almonds, but next time i'm going to use walnuts, my second favorite.
    yum!

The ingredients seemed simple but that's the problem. Cherries, chocolate, ans almonds should be a wining combo but these are just so, so. There's not much excitement to the taste. I served them at a party for 65 and half were left. I think the ones taken were probably nibbled on but not completely eaten.

These were amazing. They were so easy to make (I used the microwave to slowly melt the chocolate, which worked very well. They were so rich, I could only eat one, but believe me, that's not a complaint.
