I made these first for my boyfriend for a "homemade healthy" Valentine gift and he loved them!! So has everyone I've made them for since. SO SIMPLE to make, and SO good. The good 70% dark chocolate bars are not inexpensive, so this treat can add up to make...but worth it--a quality, wholesome and delicious treat!

I tried this recipe for my mother to take to a dinner party with her lady friends....she came back with an empty plate. They were delicious and so, so easy. Dried cherries are a bit hard to find in my town, but was worth the extra effort. Also, I used an 8 oz chocolate bar because that's all I could find in dark chocolate. Next time I'd use more chocolate. I used more than the called-for amount, but the clusters didn't stay together very well because they didn't seem to have enough chocolate coating.

These were so easy to make. I even roasted and chopped my own almonds, a first for me. I love the cherries, but next time I might make this using a different dried fruit for variety. Another great one, thanks Ellie!!!

I made these for Valentine's Day for family and friends and they're still talking about them and asking for more! You don't have to feel guilty about eating them either because 1 or 2 is just enough. I melted the chocolate in the microwave for 10- second intervals until it was all melted, just to save time. They came out amazing. I'm making them again this week for a parent workshop at my son's preschool and will try using different dried fruit, apricots would be delicious.

What a great treat! Especially for those of us that adore dark chocolate. I used dried cranberries as I prefer them more than cherries.

    Thank you!!!
