Simple and delicious! I made a few alterations... used a combo of almonds and pecans because that's what I had on hand. I also used bittersweet chocolate but would use dark chocolate to make again because I think I would like it even more since it would be slightly sweeter. Finally, I melted the chocolate in the microwave. All and all, I was very pleased and will make these clusters again!

I saw Ellie make these on TV and it looked SO simple I had to try it. Sure enough, this recipie WAS extremely simple and wonderfully delicious! I did not have dried cherries on hand, so I used cranberries instead. I'm sure you could use a variety of fruits and nuts to this very basic, very easy, and very quick recipie. Not only were they wonderful, but since there is no baking involved I was enjoying the "fruits" of my minimal labor in less than 20 minutes.

This recipe is so easy and absolutely delicious! I used milk chocolate Ghirardelli baking bars because I do not like the bitterness of dark chocolate. I think the recipe came out a little too sweet because of this, though. Next time I will use half milk chocolate and half dark chocolate. I also used slivered almonds, which after toasting and cooling them a little, I was able to easily crush into smaller pieces using my hands. The chewiness of the dried cherries and the crunchiness of the toasted almonds strikes the perfect balance/combination. I suppose you could also try this recipe by substituting the dried cherries with cherry flavored craisins, as the cherries can be a bit expensive. Not sure if it would be quite as rich, but just a suggestion if you don't happen to have the cherries on hand. Great recipe!

I originally was going to make it for a Valentine?s Day treat for my hubby and I but I couldn?t wait any longer so I made it this afternoon.

I LOVE all three of these ingredients and together it?s the perfect amount of chewy, crunchy, and sweet. I used dark chocolate Chiradelli chips and it was AWESOME. The best is licking the bowl and spoon after making the clusters. What a delicious simple treat. I?m totally making this for company next week. I might add in a little more dried cherries though.

    YUM!
