I think i expected to fall in love with this recipe and I really didn't! Something was off about it. Would a really good quality parmesan make that much of a difference? It tasted fine if I ate it with a bite of spaghetti, but on it's own. . . Maybe it's the fat that I'm missing. I know that sounds horrible but I wonder?

This is better than our favorite Italian restaurant! It's a little pesty to have to toast the breadcrumbs in advance, so I keep some already toasted in the pantry.

Easy recipe and tastes like the fattening version. We'll make this often!

My family enjoyed Ellie's Chicken Parmesan. I used regular jar sauce.

Those were my teenage daughter's words describing this chicken dish. My son really liked it and his friend (whose favorite dish was her mom's chicken parm declared that it was so much better than her mom's! To add to the superlatives--my husband said it was the best thing I'd ever made. (I wouldn't go that far. The only changes I made to the recipe is that I made Tyler's tomato sauce from his chicken parm recipe (minus the olives and, since I didn't have garlic powder I put a garlic clove through my press into the egg/milk mixture. I also liberally used crushed red pepper in the sauce and the bread crumbs. We like things hot!

I held a dinner party where Chicken Parmesan was the main dish. Everyone loved it, and they couldn't believe how very few calories there were. There were no left overs. I will definatly make this again.

My husband loved this recipe. He said it was the best parmesan he had ever eaten and he's Italian. He even ate it two days for leftovers (which he typically doesn't do. thanks for a great, healthy recipe.
