Excellent dish. I followed it exactly and it came out very good. there is a lot of sauce so you will have some leftover for dipping chips!!

WOW! This dish was easy to make (about 45 minutes from start to finish and was VERY flavorful. I can't wait to make it again. The pepper's did not make it too spicy and my two year old liked the flavor which was a plus. As long as you do other parts of the recipe while the seeds are cooking, peppers roasting, etc this recipe goes pretty quick and easy.

Made this with a few substitutions and it still turned out great. I didn't want to spend any more money than necessary, so I substituted a few items that I had on hand vs. buying all of these ingredients: almonds in place of the pumpkin seeds, ground cumin vs. cumin seeds, and ground allspice vs. whole allspice. The sauce is easy to make, but a little time-consuming. If you make that ahead of time, this dish comes together very quickly for a weeknight meal.

I paired this dish with Ellie's Black Bean Pilaf (for which I chopped the veggies ahead of time, and it was a nice (and healthy! change of pace for my family.

Made it last night and it was delicious. Hubby wasn't so sure when I told him what I will be making, but he gave it a try anyway. Well, he had seconds :
Couldn't find any pumpkin seeds so I just left them out, it was still so good. Will make this one again for sure.
Thanks for another great recipe Ellie

After seeing Ellie make this on her cooking show , I knew I had to try it. My husband helped me make it. He cut up the poblano pepper & the tomatillos and roasted them while I put all the other ingredients together. I left out the jalapeno pepper because I don't like the hotness . it was fine without it. This a great recipe for anyone to try.

I couldn't wait to try this dish and the flavors met my expectations. I prepared the sauce a couple of days earlier so I wouldn't be rushed after work / gym. Truly a rich, creamy, nutty and satisfying dish. Even got a good review from my boyfriend! Can't wait to have leftover at lunch tomorrow. Thanks.
