Made this tonight and my husband and I really loved it. The sauce is fragrant and complex and very healthy! Next time I might reserve a few pumpkin seeds for garnish along with the cilantro to add some crunchy texture. But it's delicious exactly as written. For color contrast, I served it with yellow rice and, and next time I'm going to also try roasted butternut squash cubes as a side. I have sauce leftover that I intend to use on grilled shrimp later in the week. YUM. Thanks Ellie!

I loved this recipe; however, I did make a few changes. When making the sauce, I left out the pumpkin seeds (couldn't find any as well as the peppercorns and allspice (I wanted a fresher taste. I also used more poblanos and fewer tomatillos than the recipe called for, based on my own preference. The chicken turned out incredibly moist and the sauce was delicious, flavorful and spicy but not too hot. As some have mentioned, it made a lot of extra sauce, so the next meal I roasted some extra tomatillos and poblanos to add to it and used it as a sauce for chicken enchiladas verdes, which turned out wonderful. I will definitely make this recipe again and I will also use the sauce for enchiladas again.

My husband and I eat a lot of chicken, so I was excited to see something different, and to try using tomatillos for the first time. This was great! This will stay in the repetoire of recipes to build on.

My family loved it, and leftover sauce is good on rice the next day.

This is a new and fun way to use tomatillos. The flavor is good, and compliments a plain chicken breast nicely. I wouldn't give it 5 stars, because it isn't really memorable, but I like it for its nutritional value and fresh taste.

Husband loved this one. Even added one more jalapeno to give it an extra kick. Beautiful green sauce and perfect for a summer dinner. Thanks Ellie!

This was delicious!! I made this meal the same day I saw the show, that is how easy it was and I had most of the ingredients on hand. My family LOVED it...big hit and I would make this dish for company.
I made the Rice Pilaf that was also on the show to go with this dish and it was the perfect combination of flavors...I have since made it as a side dish a few times since then.

I totally agree with "Just saw..." I went right out & got all the ingredients. It had just the right quantities of each herb & spice, & I felt good about how little oil it contained. I squeezed tons of lime on top. Made a salsa of raw fresh corn, black beans, garlic, lime zest & juice. Served it over rice, although her rice recipe looked awesome. Loved the sauce, glad I made extra. THis recipe is a keeper!

Like most of Ellie's recipe's, I loved it. Unfortunately my husband and son weren't as thrilled. I plan to use the remaining sauce over pasta.
