I thought the onion in this recipe was way too much. Very strong. I'm not the biggest fan of onion but my husband is and even he said the onion was too much. I will only put in half as much next time. I also wasn't the biggest fan of the yogurt. It was ok, but if I am adding the calories of dairy I would have preferred a little feta cheese. I will make this again with some tweaks. The base of the chick peas with the spices is a great start to make a quick salad to take to work.

This recipe used way too much citrus and as a result the salad had an odd taste. It tasted like someone made a nice spinach and chickpea salad, but someone spilled orange juice into it.

I didn't use the oil, lemon or lemon zest, really didn't need it. I added celery, seedless and peeled cucumber, extra parsley. Mixed and let sit an hour before serving. Great flavor, orange and honey brings nice sweetness and freshness to the salad. Great addition to any meal. Nice change from the vinegar mix.

I am so used to using balsmaic vinegar that I usually don't love lemon juice dressings. This, however was very good, perhaps because of the extra kick from the red onion and Mexican seasonings. I put other types of veggies in like shredded carrots, shredded cabbage, colored peppers, and celery to make it more nutritious. Can't have too many vegetables. I also cut cilantro from my herb pot by mistake, so I put half and half parsley and cilantro. Excellent. Some guacomole and chips and you have a great meal!

I am not normally a chick pea fan because of their dryness but this was a wonderful salad. I made a few changes which included cutting back on the ammount of red onion and adding green onion. I added extra lemon zest, lemon juice and parsley.

The orange essence was just wonderful. My entire family ate it although my 17 yr old picked off the chick peas and added most of the orange essence to her spinach. Because of what the Orange Essence was made of I did not mind, it wasn't like she was putting half a bottle of high fat salad dressing on her spinach. I will use this dressing for other items like marinating my chicken etc. This healthy salad will now be added to my recipe box.

I loved the dressing as cumin is one of my favorite spices.

This salad is great!! Made it for myself and ate half of it! The balance of flavors is perfect, it needs no adjustments. Will make it again and again! Thank you for the recipe!

I had guests over and didn't feel like bothering with hummus. This dish gives the tastes of hummus without the fuss, and the spinach turns this into a salad with a fresh and light taste. The yogurt sauce was perfect and also makes a great side sauce for anything. I omitted the orange juice, and just used zest, honey and mint. Overall, very yummy!

Absolutely love this salad. Have made many times. Love the chick pea salad alone without the spinach and yogurt sauce also. Highly recommend if you like chick peas.
