I was very much looking forward to his, but I wasn't a huge fan. The only thing I can think of is I didn't particularly like the cinnamon in the recipe. I use a really fresh strong saigon cinnamon, so I probably should have put less than the called for 1/4 teaspoon. It was almost overpowering. Otherwise everything was good-- steak was juicy and the other flavors blended well. I would def up the chile!

The steak was flavorful and juicy. I substituted the avocado salsa with a mango salsa (1 mango, half a red onion, 1/4 cup cilantro, and half a lime. The meal was a hit with my family.

This is my new go-to spice rub!! Amazing!! Made this with a 2 lb tri-tip. Decided to pat it dry, squeeze a half a lime over it, then rub it with the spices. I used 1 tsp of salt. The salsa is the best! I used Persian cucumbers, didn't peel or de-seed them, and I added a tomato just for the heck of it and a dab of olive oil. I can see how this would be good with some sun dried tomatoes packed in olive oil thrown in there. Or corn. I also refrain from using salt when I use lime in salsas or guac since my good friend Rachel Ray says the two hit the same spot on your tongue. Just the teeniest pinch of salt, if it needs it. Decided to nix the cabbage at the grocery store, and I didn't miss it. Sunday is our "off day" from low-carbing, so we enjoyed the tortillas. We'll be having the left overs tomorrow in our lunches with just the salsa on top! Yum!

These tacos are awesome!! So much healthier than the regular taco with the sour cream and cheese which I love but didnt miss that one bit with these tacos.Never thought to put pieces of jalapenos in the avocado salsa, but it gives it a little kick which I really like. I will deff be making these again.

Fantastic! I did it exactly as the recipe called for, including broiling it (it was way too cold outside to grill. I loved every bite! I might even try this next summer on the grill without the tacos. Lots of flavor. I usually like medium spicy food and this was perfect.

This was very good! Next time I will use a little less cinnamon, but otherwise it was very tasty!

Outstanding. I'm not that big of a cinnamon fan but my guests loved the steak. "Couldn't stop eating it", was one comment. Next time I'll cut it down a little or maybe not...it was such a hit. The salsa really tops it off.

I was surprised how tasty this rub made the steak. I doubled the amount of ingredients for the rub making enough to completely cover both sides of the steak. EASY AND YUMMY!!!

Frankly, I am surprised this recipe hasn't won some kind of award! The first time I made it, we were almost sad that we didn't have a crowd to share it with, as the flavors were spectacular and the colorful meal was very memorable. If you want to WOW the crowd when entertaining, serve this meal with carrot chips to dip in the guacamole, a splash of Cholula sauce on the guacamole, corn-on-the cob, and sliced cantaloupe and watermelon and sangria. I cannot thank Ms. Krieger enough for this wonderful, BEAUTIFUL, healthful meal! THANK YOU!!!
